Day 2 of the Equestria Daily ATG. the theme was to draw "a pony in training". Being a massive gamer, the first thing that came to mind is the famous training scene from the NES game Mike Tyson's Punch Out! (This scene in case you don't know what I'm referring to [link] ) So I thought of Dash training Scoot to learn to fly in this manner, and thus I came up with this pic. I tried a lot of new things with this, and I think some paid off while others did not, so overall I'm personally conflicted as to the quality of this piece, but I learned from the experience, which is the primary point of the ATG after all, and hopefully will be able to implement some of what I learned into future drawings. So since I think I still grew as an artist, though this certainly isn't my best piece, I'd still call it a success.
